Dental Veneers?
My dentist suggested veneers as one method of tooth whitening.
One question that came to mind was tooth color can really be affected by what you eat.
Since most teeth are naturally stained and I drink a lot of coffee, if I got veneers, wouldn't they just get stained over time as well.

Hi! I'm looking to find pro's and con's on getting veneers put on my teeth. I don't have BAD teeth, but I have a small chip in one tooth and would love to have them all the same color.

are these recommendable?? my front teeth is broken and the dentist recommends me to do a veener to fix the problem but i'm afraid that they will look fake and a different color and shape than the others or that with time the porcelain will fall of. Should I get Dental Veneers for 2 missing teeth and crooked teeth?
I was thinking of getting veneers for my upper teeth. The thing is, I am missing total of 3 teeth and my teeth are very crooked.. so much that even though I have 3 missing teeth you cannot tell because they moved into the places of the missing teeth (I had tooth crowding before). My dentist told me I need braces, and then once space is made where my teeth are missing I will need dental implants.
But I thought that maybe just skipping the braces part and getting veneers would solve this fast

Cheap alternative to dental veneers?
Dental veneers cost too much to get six. I think each cost anything from $400 - $600. So does anyone have a cheaper alternative to those? I have a slight gap between my front teeth and braces are out of the question cos I had them but didn't wear my retainers, so they're unstable.. Which is to say they can move.

looks like im gonna be getting 4 veneer to make the fix on one tooth look natural. anyway- tooth in question may need a decent amount of drilling to remove material due to placement and crowding. other wise its a healthy tooth. should i be worried about this? plus, is that gonna be painful? i mean, its a live healthy tooth.

In the long run, what happens to the gums surrounding veneers and dental implants?
I've heard that gums do not fair well on and around artificial teeth. With an implant(s) and a crown(s), would the gums be expected to recede much more significantly than the gums surrounding natural teeth?

the second tooth up top on the right side is pushed in and back- but straight- enough to bother my and be really noticed. im going in to get a evaluation on getting it fixed but want to do some research before hand- is this type of thing more of a candidate for bonding or veneers- i assume bonding will build up the surface to be more level with the other two teeth and a veneer can't do that.

Are perfect dental implants or veneers really that attractive?
I mean obviously if your teeth are really decayed and irregular it might be an improvement, but some people get perfectly normal teeth which have 'personality' transformed into a set of piano keys which look wrong. Do veneers simply last longer? I have pretty big gaps in my teeth because one of them doesn't want to come out, another one never formed, and a third one is very skinny.
