Veronica Alicia: The nearest NHS dentist to the Town in which I live is approx 12 miles away and the waiting list is as long as your proverbial arm.
For most of us now, it's a case of join "Denplan". Even then, to have a tooth crowned (on top of your monthly insurance), isn't going to give you much change from ?100.
So much for "Health care from the cradle to the grave"!
The only thing I can suggest, Kate, is that you go to your dentist and ask; maybe it can be done if you can convince someone that it is affecting your mental health.

xoxo_maria: you can get dental veneers free on the NHS only if the surface enamal on your teeth is naturally distorted (the appearence is mottled or bumpy).
You would have to cantact your local dentist and ask them.
